Company Background

Our client is a well-known charitable organisation that supports communities globally.  They have a strong presence in multiple countries with programs that are funded here in Australia.

It’s a small, friendly team, located in bright modern offices on the city fringe.

One of the key selling points is that they offer a 50/50 split of home/office working arrangements. They also have invested in excellent technology and systems.

You will support an impressive Head of Finance and help manage the team as they consolidate the numbers from their finance partners globally.  

The position is to cover 2 different maternity/paternity leaves, and there is the chance that it will extend from an initial 9-month period. Ideally, we are looking for someone to start in late October.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

• Consolidated financial accounts for overseas entities with the support of their local finance representatives
• Statutory reporting
• Working with the fundraising team for financial reporting, program budgeting and analysis
• Budgets, forecasting and reforecasting
• Managing an Accountant and reviewing the team's work
• Assist/review balance sheet reconciliations and review all work for month-end management reports
• Key point of contact for audits

Your Background

We are looking for Senior-level Accountants who ideally have experience working in an NFP or Charity. If you do not have the industry experience but have strong experience in statutory reporting and consolidations, please do still apply.

Other key requirements:

• CA or CPA qualification
• Strong financial & management reporting experience
• Ability to supervise/manage staff
• Excellent communication skills are absolutely key. You will be the main point of contact for the auditors and also the international offices.
• Able to start by the end of October
