The Role

In this position as the Senior Accountant, you will report to a knowledgeable and supportive Finance Manager. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Preparing accurate and timely month-end reports

• Process all month-end journals

• Prepare all relevant balance sheet reconciliations

• Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register

• Handling tax compliance including GST, FBT, and Income Tax

• Assisting with the budgeting processes. Tracking variances and liaising with / supporting budget holders.

• Building and maintaining analytical tools and providing key financial metrics to the Finance Manager

• Partnering closely with multiple stakeholders to support decision-making

• Providing ad-hoc support to the CFO and Finance Manager as needed

Your Background

To be considered for this Senior Accountant role you must possess most of the following attributes:

• Professionally qualified as an Accountant (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)

• Prior experience as a Financial Accountant performing full month-end duties is a pre-requisite

• Excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders

• Willingness to learn and take on tasks as they are requested

• Experience working in a relatable professional environment would be preferred
