Based in stylish, modern CBD offices, the role also offers flexibility, with the option to work from home 1 to 2 days per week once you’re established in the position.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

• Year-end close, quarter-end close and monthly close in accordance with US GAAP & Corporate Policies
• Support the Financial Controller and other Business Leads in the budgeting and forecasting process and analysis of variances for events
• Ensuring accuracy in revenue and profit and that information is available for senior management at all times
• Provide management reporting for decision making – trend, variance & sensitivity analysis. Ability to communicate with senior and non-finance staff to understand the drivers impacting event performance.
• Focus on revenue, billing, receivables collections and credit control of events and projects across the region.
• Focus on cost control and profitability of events, projects and the wider business. You will enjoy being a business partner working with key stakeholders to understand their numbers.

Your Background

To be considered for this Senior Accountant role you will need to have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification (CA/CPA not essential for this one!)
• Strong P&L and Balance sheet experience and the ability to work autonomously on the month-end
• Have held a senior position in the finance team where junior members of the team have come to you for assistance
• Excellent communication skills to engage with the non-financial stakeholders in the business

This is not a job for someone who likes sitting behind their desk crunching numbers.  You love the people interaction.
