Senior Financial Accountant - Sustainability

The Role

Due to the organisational growth, this role will work as a technical support to the Financial Controller

Initially, you will work on projects such as reviewing/improving their cashflow model, IFRS16 reporting and LSL review.

Following this project improvement work, you would then step into a Senior Accountant role with tasks including:

• Oversight of the month-end process including ensuring the completion of the general ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations and production of the P&L statements
• Completion of the commentary around variance to budget
• Cashflow forecasting
• Preparing the annual statutory accounts
• Submitting taxation returns such as BAS, FBT, and GST and liaison with external tax specialists
• Liaising with external auditors and banks
• Providing financial advice to managers regarding initiatives to improve the company’s financial performance
• Supervision of junior team members

Your Background

The right candidate for our client will:

• Be CA or CPA Qualified 
• Currently be a Senior Accountant or strong Financial Accountant looking for a step up
• Have 3-4 years of financial reporting experience
• Have staff supervision experience
• Excellent communication skills and experience presenting results & information to non-financial stakeholders
