The Role

This Financial Accountant position will be heavily involved in the revenue side. Your responsibilities will include:

• Month-end tasks/processes: preparation and accountability of the revenue balance sheet accounts, including a monthly reconciliation.
• Accrued Income Receivable, Deferred Revenue and Unearned Income balance sheet accounts.
• Month-end journals, intercompany invoices and GL reconciliations.
• Oversee the revenue transactions and revenue compliance.
• Report on the revenue transactions to management.
• Understating of contracts to apply revenue recognition accordingly.
• Intercompany revenue recharges and reconciliations.
• Maintain aged receivables register, prepare bank reconciliations and track.
• Interpret funding contracts to ensure correct revenue recognition (AASB 15/1058).
• Support external audit queries and provide revenue-related insights to management.

Your Background

To be considered for this opportunity, they are looking for someone with:

• Minimum 2 years of experience at the FA level with relevant exposure to revenue recognition.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders.
• Ideally, CPA/CA or equivalent (or close to qualified).
• Understanding of AASB 15 and AASB 105B accounting standards will be highly regarded (Not a must-have).
