Transform Finance Operations

Company Background

Join a growing, founder-led Australian technology business with an ambitious vision and a strong track record of growth. Developing innovative solutions that help some of most valued healthcare professionals do what they do best, this is a business with a genuine purpose and a positive impact.

With a strong appetite for innovation, investment in technology and plenty of opportunity to improve how things are done, the business offers an exciting environment for someone who wants to make their mark. You'll join a smart, commercially minded team where fresh ideas are welcomed, initiative is encouraged and there is genuine scope for career progression as the business continues to grow.

They offer one day WFH, great modern offices and amenities.

The Role

  • Own month-end close and financial reporting, delivering accurate results within deadlines

  • Lead and develop a small team of accounting professionals with the support of the Financial Controller.

  • Drive process improvement and finance transformation: streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and lift the quality of reporting

  • Leverage technology (OCR/automation/AI) to improve finance operations

  • Partner with FP&A to provide meaningful reporting, insights and decision support

  • Oversee AR and working capital, building on some of the key automations that have been initiated.

  • Support revenue recognition across technology projects, service/maintenance contracts and other revenue streams

Your Background

You’re a hands-on Finance Manager / Senior Accountant who thrives in a changing environment and can juggle priorities while keeping the close on track. You enjoy improving systems and processes, and you lead from the front with calm, proactive energy. These are the qualities that will lead to a job offer.

To get an interview, on paper the client is looking for:

  • CA or CPA qualified

  • Proven people leadership (must have managed staff)

  • Strong month-end and financial reporting experience

  • Track record of improvements/projects/achievements (this is essential, so please make sure your resume highlights these before applying!)

  • Comfortable in a business going through change (not a rigid “status quo” environment)

  • Highly desirable: AASB 15 / revenue recognition exposure and/or WIP / project-based environments
