Excellent FM role in the Real Estate sector

Company Background

Our client is a highly-regarded name in the real estate industry. They are still operating as a family business, but have invested in the right people and technologies to ensure their ongoing success & expansion. With acquisitions and partnerships, they have created a global presence. 

The finance team has some excellent tenure, and since a restructure, and a senior appointment, it has created a new role in the team.

You would work in professional offices in the city, with WFH flexibility after training.  

The Role

This Finance Manager role leads a team of 3 direct reports but also will coordinate with finance in NZ and outsourced providers.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring accurate and efficient operation of all aspects of the general ledger, balance sheet, payables and receivables, asset registers, and day-to-day cash management activities
  • Manage all month-end and year-end processing, completion of monthly trial balance, analysis and reporting on monthly overheads
  • Preparation of management reports & analysis for senior stakeholders.
  • Submitting statutory reporting as needed including BAS, Tax Returns and FBT.
  • Maintaining internal control systems and ensuring statutory compliance
  • Reviewing existing systems & processes and looking at automation and efficiencies
  • Financial modelling & reviewing ROI can also be included in this role for the right person.

Your Background

To be considered for this Finance Manager role we are looking for someone who:

  • Is CA or CPA qualified
  • Has direct staff management experience
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with franchisees and stakeholders across the business
  • Is most likely a Finance Manager in an SME business who is still relatively hands-on with the month-end processes. You could also be a Senior Accountant with management experience looking for a step-up
  • Has achievements and examples on your resume of streamlining processes and creating efficiencies with systems

The standout candidate for our client will be someone who has used Business Central / MS 365.
