Finance Manager - NFP - Central Sydney

The Role

This role will have responsibility for the overall finance function, with a view that the COO can focus more on strategic leadership and funding. You will work with impressive, passionate & approachable leaders.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing 2 staff (Accounts & Administration).
  • Preparation of month-end reports for final review by the COO. Presenting the final numbers to the Director for monthly management meetings.
  • Hands-on assistance with invoicing and reconciliations where required.
  • Risk and governance reporting and compliance.
  • Assisting with the budgeting process.
  • Investment reporting.
  • Cash flow management, reviewing term deposits, govt grants, working with their investment advisor.
  • Managing the annual audit.

Your Background

Essential Criteria 

  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • Senior Accountant or Finance Manager experience from a small to mid-size business.
  • Staff management or supervision experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Able to confidently sit with the Director and deliver information. 
  • Someone who will show passion for the organisational values & goals!

Desirable Criteria

  • NFP, Charity, Educational industry experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Investment reporting.
  • Someone happy to be hands-on and help manage the administration officer and supervise some tasks outside of core finance.
