Finance Manager - Retail - Northern Beaches

Company Background

Our client is a well-known multinational retail business displaying strong year-on-year growth. To assist with this growth, they are looking to bring on board a Finance Manager to assist with various improvement projects and stabilise the team as they consider the future structure of the team. 

While this role is a temporary position currently, there is potential for the role to be offered permanently after some time in the temporary position.

Senior management ensures transparency across the business with regular presentations and updates on performance along with monthly events to foster collaboration. 

The Role

Your role as Finance Manager will be broad and varied. It will include (but not limited to):

  • Month-end financial and management reporting 
  • Monthly financial analysis and business partnering with BU heads
  • Annual statutory and tax reporting
  • Cash flow management
  • Fixed asset reporting
  • Team leadership of 2x reports across transactional services

Your Background

In order to be considered for this Finance Manager position, our client is open to considering those who are ready and wanting to step up to a managerial position (i.e. you may be currently working as a Senior Financial Accountant, Senior Accountant or equivalent) or those already established in a similar role. 

As an ideal applicant, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Available on 1 weeks’ notice or less
  • Professionally qualified as an Accountant (e.g. CA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role (not necessarily direct management)
  • Prior experience with mid-sized or larger ERP systems 
  • Experience in multinational business and product-based environments preferred
  • This role is hands-on, you must be happy to roll your sleeves up and get into the detail with the team
