The Role

A newly created position reporting directly to senior leadership. As the most senior finance hire in the business, you will have full ownership of the finance function with one direct report already in place.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Trust account management and compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory obligations
• Oversight of the accounts function, payroll, AP/AR and external financial relationships
• Commercial reporting, including matter profitability, pricing and performance analysis
• Building and developing the finance function - systems, processes and team - as the business grows

Your Background

You will be a qualified finance professional with strong experience in a professional services environment and a track record of operating with autonomy. You are confident, commercially minded and comfortable engaging directly with senior stakeholders on financial matters.

• CA or CPA qualified
• 6-8+ years post-qualification experience
• Professional services background essential; legal experience highly regarded
• Experience with trust accounting
• Familiarity with AML/CTF compliance obligations (beneficial)
• Self-starter who can own a function, set direction and operate independently
• Comfortable building processes and systems in a fast-growing environment
