Our client is a Sydney-based real estate funds manager with a portfolio of commercial property across Australia. It runs listed and unlisted wholesale funds, has new funds in the pipeline, and is backed by a private investment group.

The Role

You will run finance day to day across the funds and corporate entities and manage a small team. This is a newly created role, based in the CBD office five days a week.

• Review and sign off fund and corporate accounts

• Manage unit pricing, distributions and cash flow across the funds

• Deliver monthly reporting against budget and forecast

• Prepare statutory accounts

• Run the external audit end to end

• Coach and develop the team

• Oversee payments, AP controls and approvals

• Lead the finance workstream on new fund launches

• Fund tax compliance

• Automate and improve processes as the business scales

Your Background

You have strong technical foundations and a builder's mindset. You look at a process, ask how it could work better, then make it happen. You want to own something, not just maintain it.

• CA or CPA qualified

• 6+ years' experience, ideally with fund or unit trust accounting

• Background in audit, funds, or finance transformation

• Real examples of improving processes, systems or automation

• Confidence reviewing others' work and developing people

• Comfortable explaining the numbers to senior stakeholders
