The Role

Your remit as an Assistant Accountant will be appealingly broad, encompassing a range of responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

• Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, and general ledger oversight
• Perform daily bank reconciliations
• Reconcile overhead and balance sheet accounts at month-end
• Oversee AP team output to ensure invoices are accurately coded and processed
• Prepare monthly BAS workpapers for the consolidated group
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports
• Exposure to overhead costing analysis

Your Background

To be considered for this Assistant Accountant role, you will be degree-qualified and will meet most of the following criteria:

• 1 to 2 years of working experience in a similar Assistant Accountant level role
• Plans to study a CPA/CA or already be part-qualified
• An excellent attitude and hungry to learn
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Those working as an Accounts Clerk or Finance Officer with a desire to progress and learn are welcome to apply
• Full working rights (holding a Permanent residency or Australian Citizenship)
