The Role  

As the Assistant Financial Accountant, you will sit in a corporate head office environment and report to a Financial Controller who enjoys developing and mentoring his team. Your initial duties will include: 

• Accounts Payable and Receivable duties  
• Preparing financial statements and tax returns 
• Project budgeting and forecasting
• Performing reconciliations 
• Supporting month-end processes 
• Assist with board reporting  

As you continue to grow and become more confident, you will be given more responsibilities.  

Your Background 

As the ideal candidate for this Assistant Accountant role, you must fulfil the following criteria:  

• At least 12 months of accounting experience from either a commercial business, accounting firm OR Big4 environment
• Accounting Degree qualified with solid academic grades (credit average) 
• Want to work in a corporate head office environment 
• Desire to learn, grow and work hard to build your career in accounting 
• Hold permanent working rights (Permanent residency or Australian Citizenship) 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
