The Role  

As the Assistant Financial Accountant, you will sit in a corporate head office environment and report to a Finance Manager who enjoys developing and mentoring her team. Your initial duties will include: 

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable duties  
  • Preparing financial statements and tax returns 
  • Project budgeting and forecasting 
  • Performing reconciliations  
  • Supporting month-end processes 
  • Assisting with board reporting  

As you continue to grow and become more confident, you will be given more responsibilities to keep your skillset and career moving forward.   

Your Background 

Our client is looking for an Assistant Accountant who fulfils the following criteria: 

  • Passionate to learn, grow and work hard to build your career in accounting 
  • At least 6 months of accounting and/or tax experience from either a commercial company or an accounting firm
  • Accounting Degree qualified with solid academic grades (e.g. credit average, distinction or high distinction) 
  • Desire to work in a professional, collaborative and forward-thinking corporate head office environment 
  • Hold permanent working rights (Permanent residency or Australian Citizenship) 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
