The Role  

As the Assistant Financial Accountant, you will sit in a corporate head office environment and report to a Finance Manager who enjoys developing and mentoring her team. Your initial duties will include: 

• Accounts Payable and Receivable duties  
• Preparing financial statements and tax returns 
• Project budgeting and forecasting 
• Performing reconciliations  
• Supporting month-end processes 
• Assisting with board reporting  

As you continue to grow and become more confident, you will be given more responsibilities.  

Your Background 

Our client is looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant who fulfils the following criteria:  

• At least 6 months of accounting experience from either a commercial company, Big 4 or accounting firm environment 
• Accounting degree qualified with solid academic grades (credit average) 
• Want to work in a corporate head office environment 
• Desire to learn, grow and work hard to build your career in accounting 
• Hold permanent working rights (Permanent residency or Australian Citizenship) 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
