The Role

Reporting into an entrepreneurial CEO, your duties as the Financial Controller will be broad and varied. This will include:

• Managing the full accounting function, including month-end, year-end, financial statements and compliance
• Manage process improvement initiatives, including strengthening reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and local tax – prepare taxes, including GST, PAYG, FBT, and corporate income tax returns
• Manage the budgeting, forecasting and analytical processes
• Manage a small offshore finance team
• Develop key relationships internally to better integrate finance and operations
• Work with business leaders to develop company KPIs and manage the reporting of them

Your Background

This Financial Controller role is best suited for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment within a growing business. To be considered for this FC position, you will need to meet the following criteria:

• Professionally qualified (e.g. CA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• Have established experience at the Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager level
• Proven track record of achievement in process improvement projects or systems implementation / automations is a pre-requisite
• Previously worked within a high-growth business in a hands-on role
• Excellent technical knowledge and experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to liaise confidently with stakeholders
