The Role

Your role as Financial Controller will enjoy breadth and variety, taking ownership of the largest division within the Group. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and with regular interaction with the Group CFO, your duties will include (not limited to):

• Supervision and mentorship of your team of direct reports (both local and overseas).
• Financial stewardship of your division including, P&L ownership, statutory tax, variance to budget, and analysis.
• Working with multiple stakeholders; fast becoming a key finance business partner for departments including Operations and Sales.
• Working on a high-profile project alongside the Group FC to continue to build and enhance the offshore team.
• Ensuring robust controls and compliance are in place.
• Driving process and systems improvement initiatives.
• Oversight of payroll (circa 400 employees).

Your Background

To be considered for this Financial Controller role you must meet the following criteria:

• Professionally qualified as an accountant (e.g. CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Prior experience working in import and distribution is a pre-requisite.
• Experience working in a medium to large-sized business (revenue c$100m and above) in a Financial Controlling capacity.
• Proven experience in driving change, adding value and implementing improvements.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and collaborative demeanour – ability to lead your team effectively whilst also building strong relationships with stakeholders.
