Our client is an established and growing not-for-profit organisation. They are based on the Northern Beaches and accessible by public transport. They are going through a significant operational change to positively transform and shape the finance function. Our client is passionate about their cause for helping vulnerable members of society and they do possess a collaborative, low-hierarchy and friendly environment with a strong work ethic. Their leadership team is approachable and keen on building a strong future. Additionally, they also do offer some flexibility for hybrid WFH arrangement after training.

The Role

This is a permanent and full-time Financial Accountant position where you will be responsible for the following:

• End-to-end month-end close process (journals, accruals, prepayments, lease accounting, fixed assets, bank recs, revenue recognition)
• Preparing monthly financial statements like cash flow reports, balance sheet and P&L statement
• Assist with audit and prepare statutory accounts
• Back up for the payroll function

Your Background

We are looking for candidates who fit the following profile:

• More than 3 years of local working experience as a Financial Accountant
• Strong month end processes and reporting experience
• Prior experience and willingness to establish financial processes, work papers and guidelines
• Possess excellent written and verbal English communication skills to deal with stakeholders
• Desire to work for a growing not-for-profit organisation
