Entertainment Industry Contract Opportunity

Company Background

Our client is a well-established, internationally recognised entertainment business. The Sydney team support a range of large-scale projects, so workloads can spike depending on the season.

Due to a ramp up in projects, they are seeking a technically trained Financial Accountant to support the Financial Controller to keep finance running smoothly and help the team to catch up on key deliverables.

The Role

You’ll join a small finance team and provide support across day-to-day and month-to-month requirements, as well as ad hoc projects and period-end priorities.

Focusing on:

• Financial reporting for multiple entities
• GL and recharge reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Post-system implementation reconciliations
• Ad hoc analysis with the Financial Controller
• Assisting with budget compilation
• Assisting with production accounts
• Developing new reports and workflows in Excel for the finance team

Your Background

• To be considered for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
• Immediate availability
• Must be CA qualified
• Strong excel skills – developing reports, xlookups, pivots, complex formulas
• Comfortable with variety and ambiguity
• Personable, adaptable working style that would be comfortable in a creative, energetic workplace
