Company Background

Our client is a global specialty pharmaceutical and biotechnology business with a strong footprint across the Asia-Pacific region. With continued growth and ongoing projects, they are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support both month-end and a major uplift in governance, policies and finance processes.

This is a hands-on role with genuine variety. Ideal for someone who enjoys improving how things are done, leveraging technology/AI, and partnering with stakeholders across multiple countries.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Finance, this role will focus on:

• Driving governance and policy uplift across the finance function

• Process documentation, standardization and streamlining (leveraging tools/AI where appropriate)

• Supporting month-end close activities and financial reporting

• Partnering with internal stakeholders across Australia and offshore

• Building a foundation for a longer-term pathway into finance partnering

Your Background

To be considered for this Financial Accountant role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Immediately available with full-time working rights (short notice periods can also be considered for the right candidate)

• Working Holiday Visa (WHV – subclass 417) holders are welcome to apply

• Strong and confident communication skills

• Prior experience within healthcare, medical, pharmaceutical or a similar environment is highly regarded

• Intermediate Excel skills (v/x look-ups, pivot tables)
