The Role

This is a broad, hands-on Financial Accountant position supporting a multi-entity environment, with a strong focus on month-end, compliance and construction/project reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Month-end close & reporting: journals, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, management accounts (including JV reporting)
  • Audit liaison: coordinate with external auditors and support year-end requirements
  • Tax & compliance: BAS across entities, plus FBT, TPAR, Payment Times Reporting (as required)
  • Payroll tax & wage allocations: payroll tax lodgements and wage allocation across GL and project levels
  • Project System management: assisting with GL structures (chart of accounts, cost codes, configurations)
  • Low-volume AR support: partner with operational stakeholders on invoicing and collections
  • Process improvement: uplift reporting, controls, data quality and systems/processes

About You:

  • CA / CPA (started or completed)
  • Financial accounting experience within construction and/or property development (strongly preferred)
  • Exposure to multi-entity environments
  • Someone who has gone the extra mile & can bring a value-add mindset to the role – our client would love to see your key achievements on your resume
  • Experience with construction/project finance systems
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with detail, deadlines and stakeholders
