Our client has a strong reputation in the property development space. They are privately owned and about to join forces to tackle some large and exciting projects. They are a smaller team, so it's all hands on deck to help drive change & ensure things are done on a timely basis. No two days are the same, so it's for someone who thrives in a little bit of organised chaos! With the growth this is going to be an excellent learning platform with room for career progression.

The Role

This Financial Accountant role can be 4 or 5 days a week, ideally in the offices for most days. Responsibilities will include:

• Manage day-to-day accounting tasks including tracking and recording expenses. Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and supplier payments.

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial transactions.

• Maintain cash flow tracking and forecasting.

• Process payroll, superannuation, and employee entitlements.

• Ensure compliance with GST, BAS, PAYG, and other tax obligations.

• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

• Manage the general ledger and month-end process.

• Develop and monitor budgets for various projects. Track project costs, variations, and budget performance. Including: preparation & submission of progress claims. Assist with cost control measures to support project managers.

• Process subcontractor invoices and payments, ensuring correct documentation and compliance.

Your Background

Our client is looking for someone who:

• Is CA or CPA qualified or studying towards

• Has strong experience in month end reporting, budgeting and cashflow forecasting.

• Works well in a fast paced and dynamic environment

• As you will be dealing with the Director and Project Managers directly its essential your English communication is excellent to avoid any confusion on complex matters

The client’s strong preference is for someone from a project background who understands project costs, revenue recognition, and utilisation.
