Hands-On Commercial Finance Role

Company Background

Our client is a well-established, internationally recognised entertainment business. The Sydney team support a range of large-scale projects, so workloads can spike depending on the season.

Due to a ramp-up in projects, they are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support the Financial Controller to keep finance running smoothly and help the team to catch up on key deliverables.

The Role

You’ll join a small finance team and provide support across day-to-day and month-to-month requirements, as well as ad hoc projects and period-end priorities.

Responsibilities include:

• Financial reporting for multiple entities
• GL and recharge reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Post-system implementation reconciliations
• Developing new reports and workflows in Excel for the finance team
• Assist in tax compliance and FBT returns

Your Background

To be considered for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Immediate availability
• Professional qualification is highly desired
• Strong practical experience across financial reporting and reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills – developing reports, xlookups, pivots, complex formulas
• Comfortable with variety and ambiguity
• Personable, adaptable working style that would be comfortable in a creative, energetic workplace
