The Role

As the Financial Accountant, you will sit in a corporate head office environment and report to a Finance Manager who enjoys developing and mentoring her team. Your initial duties will include:

• End-to-end Accounts Payable and Receivable oversight for projects
• Regulatory compliance – BAS returns and audit processes
• Month-end processes and board reporting preparation
• Bank reconciliation and credit card processing
• Assisting with annual financial statements and tax returns
• Assist in project budgeting and forecasting processes
• Maintain and update financial models

As you continue to grow and become more confident, you will be given more responsibilities.

Your Background

Our client is looking for a candidate with the following criteria:

• 4+ years of experience in commercial business or an Audit/Business Services firm
• Accounting Degree qualified with solid academic grades (credit average and above)
• CPA/CA qualification (or close to completion)
• Desire to learn, grow and work hard to build your career in accounting
• Hold permanent working rights (Permanent residency or Australian Citizenship)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
