Our client is a successful Australian-owned business experiencing strong growth across Australia and international markets. Operating within a specialist product and solutions-based industry, the organisation has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer service.

With continued growth and an expanding customer base, they are looking for a commercially focused Accountant to join their finance team and become a key partner to the wider business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond traditional management accounting and gain genuine exposure to operations, supply chain, commercial activity and senior leadership.

You would have an opportunity to be involved in projects that have a tangible impact on business performance.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing financial and analytical insights to support business decisions

• Assisting with the annual budgeting and forecasting process

• Conducting cost and savings analysis

• Analysing supply chain performance and costs

• Supporting freight and logistics analysis

• Partnering with IT and other departments on cost-related initiatives

• Working closely with the Commercial and Sales teams

• Supporting operational and commercial projects

• Providing insight into inventory and other key business drivers

• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation

• Helping identify opportunities to improve business performance

Your Background

You'll ideally have:

• CA, CPA or be close to completing your qualification

• Experience within manufacturing, distribution, FMCG, wholesale or another product-based/tangible industry

• Exposure to inventory and/or supply chain

• Commercial experience, including projects or initiatives involving operational teams

• Budgeting and forecasting experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• A practical, hands-on approach

• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment

• A genuine desire to develop your career and take on greater responsibility
