Company Background

Our client is a diversified property management, development and investment business that has been in successful operation for over 30 years. They are going through a commercial transformation and have some impressive managers in the team to guide them through the next chapter of operation.  This is a great time to join their corporate finance team, where you will get exposure to these managers and a wide range of financial & statutory reporting tasks.

They provide one day of WFH and full study support for the completion of your CA or CPA study.

The Role

This Assistant Accountant role has been newly created. It will report to the Financial Controller and sit in the corporate finance team. 

You would be responsible for:

• Monthly balance sheet reconciliation for various entities
• Monthly P&L review for the entities under the responsibilities of the corporate finance team
• Maintain the fixed asset register for the entities under the responsibility of the corporate finance team
• Posting of relevant journals to ensure that the accounting system reflects accurate information, including year-end journals as and when required
• Assisting with the preparation of information required for management and board reporting
• Bank reconciliations
• Assist with statutory compliance
• Assist with treasury and cashflow reporting

Your Background

To be considered for this great career opportunity, our client is looking for candidates who/are:

• In the process of, or already CA or CPA qualified
• Their first preference is someone who is currently working in an accounting firm in business services
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to demonstrate a keen desire to learn and eager to take on new tasks
• If you are working in commerce, experience in the aforementioned tasks will need to be clear on your resume to be considered
• You must hold a valid visa to work full-time and permanently in Australia
