The Company

Our client is a successful, Australian-owned and run Property company located in lovely offices in the Sydney CBD. They are currently on the hunt for an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Role

As the Assistant Accountant, you will report to a talented Senior Financial Accountant. To start, your duties will be fairly transactional, with scope to take on more down the track. Your duties will include:

• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Bank reconciliation
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Journal posting
• Cashflow forecasting

Your Background

As the ideal candidate for this Assistant Accountant role, you must fulfil the following criteria:

• At least 2 years of accounting experience (AP, AR, Reconciliations). Month-end reporting is highly desirable.
• Ideally, an accounting degree and plans to study towards CPA/CA
• Property experience would be highly preferred, but is not a must-have
• Desire to learn, grow and work hard to build your career in accounting
• Full Australian working rights
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
