Accounts Officer - Construction

Company Background

Our client is a very well-established family business. They have several business ventures and this role will support their highly reputable fit-out, design & construction arm.  

They have lovely bright modern offices, with a breakout area and designer kitchen. This role will work across the team with senior management, external accountants and the project teams.

The Role

This is a broad accounts role with tasks similar to a Bookkeeping position

They do want someone in the offices five days a week wherever possible, however, they are open to someone working in the office during school hours and then finishing the day working from home.  

Responsibilities include:

• Processing of AP invoices – around 20 per day (working closely with Contract Administrators)
• Processing of client invoices
• Processing monthly payroll for 30 staff + all related payments, superannuation etc.  
• Reconcile corporate credit cards
• Process employee expense reimbursements
• Bank reconciliations
• Answering queries and providing information for the external Accountants
• Accounts Receivable – allocation and banking

Your Background

The right candidate for our client will:

• Be an excellent communicator
• Have strong experience in Accounts Payable and Payroll
• Have a good tenure on your resume. As a family business, they value loyalty.
