Finance & HR Support Role

Company Background

Our client is a well-known charitable organisation that supports communities globally.  They have a strong presence in multiple countries with programs that are funded here in Australia.

It’s a small, friendly team, located in bright modern offices on the city fringe.

One of the key selling points is that they offer a 50/50 split of home/office working arrangements. They also have invested in excellent technology/systems.

You will support an impressive Head of Finance and also the HR Manager at times in a busy, positive and friendly environment. It’s a great chance for someone starting in their career to put their hand to different tasks to work out what they enjoy & excel in.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

  • Accounts payable tasks, including weekly supplier runs
  • AR, including donation allocations and reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting month-end processes with journals, with the ability to take more on as you learn
  • Supporting HR with onboarding, contracts and employee reporting
  • Support with the CRM and ERP system maintenance

Your Background

We are looking for positive, enthusiastic candidates who love learning new things. You will be happy to help the team out with whatever is required to get things done in a timely manner across the business. Other key requirements:

  • A degree or diploma qualification (it's ok to still be studying this)
  • Excellent English communication skills to be able to liaise with the international offices
  • A minimum of 12 months experience in accounts, ideally including AP and AR duties
  • Holding a suitable visa to work permanently in Australia
