Our client is a well-established residential and commercial construction business. They have been a reputable player in the market for over ten years. Due to their commitment to providing exceptional service and quality work, the majority of their customers are repeat business. They have a broad range of projects including renovations, luxury builds and commercial fit-outs.
This role has been created to bring some of the accounting work in-house from the external Accountant. You will be responsible for:
- Accounts Payable including paying the subcontractors invoices for their work, plus overheads and expenses
- Accounts Receivable – project tracking for different builds and invoicing at the correct time
- Revenue recognitions
- Debtor control and reporting for the owners
- Bank reconciliations
- More tasks can be passed on once you have mastered the complexities of invoicing for this industry
As this is a small office environment, it is important that you fit in well with the team. We are looking for cheerful, upbeat personalities who are happy to roll up their sleeves to get the work done. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to answer queries confidently. It is essential that you have at least 2 years’ experience in full function Accounts Payable & Receivable. If you do have some previous experience working in the construction or building industry this will be highly regarded!
