This family-owned business has had a long and established history of operations in the Scenic Rim Region of South East Queensland. In the last few years, they have been upgrading a manufacturing facility, and are now looking for a commercially minded Plant Finance Manager/Controller to take the business to the next level and become a key member of the site leadership team.
Reporting to the Managing Director and partnering closely with the Plant General Manager, Operations, Engineering, Logistics and Sales, you'll play a critical role in improving profitability, optimising manufacturing performance and providing the financial insight that drives operational decision-making.
Based at their manufacturing facility onsite 5 days a week, you'll work across every aspect of the operation, partnering with leaders throughout the business to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance financial performance.
You'll become the financial expert on plant operations, understanding everything from production yields and inventory movements through to freight profitability, labour productivity and capital investment decisions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the factory floor, asking questions, challenging assumptions and helping operational teams make better commercial decisions.
You will be a self-starter who enjoys working in manufacturing environments. Ideally, you will have previous experience as a Plant Controller, Cost Accountant or Finance Manager and possess the following skills:
