The Role

Your role as the Part-time Payroll Officer will offer appealing breadth. As you master tasks, there will continuously be opportunities to take on additional challenges, ensuring your skillset is always evolving. Initial tasks will include (but are not limited to):

  • Monthly payroll for 70 staff
  • Payroll tax and workers' compensation calculations
  • Assist with preparation of employee contracts
  • Yearly Bonus calculations  
  • Onboarding and offboarding team members
  • Complete and maintain employee checks and files
  • Look after mentorship and training programs

If you have previous experience in (or would love to learn) broader accounting tasks such as Accounts Payable, Receivable, reconciliation, these tasks can be added over time to support the broader finance team!  

Your Background

To be considered for this Payroll role, you will meet the majority of the following criteria:

  • At least 2 years’ experience processing payroll for 50+ people.  
  • HR tasks would be highly regarded (but not essential)
  • Full Australian working rights (Citizen or PR)
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) as you will be dealing with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis
