With fit-for-purpose learning environments and targeted student support catering to all learning needs and careers, our client is well-positioned to take advantage of the burgeoning Western Sydney population.

Following a full operational review, our client is now seeking a Group Finance Manager who combines strong technical acumen with proven business partnering experience to drive financial performance and support key stakeholders across the organisation. This is an opportunity to lead with purpose, while enjoying a genuine work/life balance, including 2 days working from home each week.

The Role

  • Manage Assistant Accountant and consolidate Group Accounting/FP&A functions
  • Oversee annual statutory reporting and audit processes
  • Produce monthly management accounts and consolidated country-level reporting; prepare departmental budget reports
  • Lead the annual budget process for the regional office and construction capital activities
  • Control monthly balance sheet reconciliations (including payroll and fixed assets)
  • Manage the monthly payroll process, approvals, and related accounting entries
  • Prepare detailed monthly financial overviews for new-build campuses and present to various boards
  • Lead monthly project accounting: budget vs actuals, margin variance, WIP, and cost-to-complete
  • Develop and maintain rolling project-level cash flow forecasts; identify cash needs and receivable timing

Your Background

  • CPA (or equivalent) qualification preferred
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Proven experience in financial accounting and management reporting
  • Experience in multi-entity or complex organisational environments (Education would be fabulous!) or first-time mover in Business Services
