Financial & Cost Accountant - FMCG

The Role

This Financial & Cost Accountant role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be involved in the business, rather than spending all their time in the monthly reporting cycles.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities are split across costing, audit and financial accounting tasks:

  • Supporting the finance team with period-end tasks including reconciliations, journals, and reporting for monthly, quarterly and annual close.
  • Internal control compliance including Internal Audit Best Practice, SOX. QTR Audit preparation and liaison with external auditors.
  • Cost reporting at both transfer pricing and management cost level.
  • Ownership of item master data management in inventory management systems and finance ERP to ensure correct reporting of inventory source and local oncost.
  • Support the forecasting processes by providing accurate financial insights and collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Partner with local and global business units including Global economics, IT and Finance teams to drive efficiency, ensure data integrity, and support continuous improvement.

Your Background

To be considered for this opportunity the client is looking for someone who has/is:

  • CA or CPA qualified or close.
  • Someone who has worked in manufacturing or a similar industry and has some understanding of product costing & inventory.
  • Financial Accounting experience including month-end experience. Balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and some inventory reconciliations.

It's essential you are an outgoing, confident communicator who enjoys working with stakeholders across the business! You will be dealing with people from all of their international offices so you must have impeccable English communication skills.
