The Company

Our client, a leader in advisory services and at the forefront of the sustainability consulting market in Sydney, is seeking a Financial Controller to cover extended leave.

They specialise in empowering clients across diverse industries to embed sustainability into their operations and reduce their carbon impact.

They offer a fast-paced but flexible working environment, with 2-3 days a week working from home once training and onboarding is complete.

The Role

This role is a 7-month temporary role with an opportunity for extension. This role reports to the CFO, leading a team of 10 people. Your role as the Financial Controller will include, but not be limited to:

• Staff management and mentorship

• Financial reporting, including consolidated accounts

• Managing AP, AR and payroll functions

• Project works, including continuous improvement of the finance function

• Ad hoc analysis as required

Your Background

To be considered for this Financial Controller role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams

• Hands-on approach to leadership, this role will require you to roll up your sleeves

• On one week's notice or less for a contract position

• Prior experience in a Finance Manager or Financial Controller position in a medium-to-large-sized business
