Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join the leadership team and play a key role in driving commercial performance and financial governance across the group.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a broad and commercially focused leadership role responsible for overseeing financial operations, reporting, controls and strategic financial support across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the financial reporting function across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strong financial governance
• Managing monthly reporting, venue P&Ls, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis
• Providing strategic commercial insights and KPI reporting to support executive decision-making
• Overseeing general ledger integrity, reconciliations, financial controls and audit processes
• Partnering closely with operational leaders to drive profitability, cost management and business performance
• Identifying and implementing process improvements, systems enhancements and operational efficiencies
• Mentoring and leading junior finance team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture

Your Background

Our client is looking to meet people who meet the following profile:

• CA or CPA qualifications with tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within hospitality, retail or multi-site operations
• Strong financial reporting, management accounting and commercial analysis capability
• Experience partnering with executive stakeholders and providing strategic financial insights. 
• Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability, including experience with a large integrated ERP such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset
