Financial Accountant - NFP

The Role

Reporting to the CFO, your duties as Financial Accountant will include but are not limited to:

• Month-end reporting across 1-3 entities, including journals, prepayments and budget journals
• Reviewing and supporting work completed by the Assistant Accountant
• Fortnightly payroll for approximately 40-50 full-time, part-time and casual employees
• Balance sheet reconciliations, BAS, FBT and tax preparation support
• Supporting the budget process, grant invoicing and audit preparation
• Working with Xero to improve reporting accuracy and process discipline

Your Background

To be considered for this Financial Accountant role, you will ideally meet most of the following criteria:

• 5 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant role
• Xero experience will be highly regarded
• CA or CPA qualification preferred, but not essential
• Hands-on approach, strong attention to detail and comfort working in a small finance team
