The Role

This Financial Accountant position will be responsible for the following areas:

• Preparing the month-end financial reporting process including consolidated profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reports 
• Assisting preparation of insightful management reporting to the executive leadership team
• Monitoring working capital to assist with controlling expenditure and cash burn
• Supporting the company audit process and preparation of year-end statutory accounts
• Responsible for the completion of compliance activities including BAS, Payroll tax and other related payments to the ATO
• Drive a business partnering culture across the organisation for effective decision-making
• Collecting and analysing data for the preparation of weekly and monthly accruals
• Maintaining and updating accounting and tax policies and procedures 

Your Background

You must be CA or CPA qualified or studying. The CFO will then consider the following backgrounds:

• A candidate from a commerce background who has worked in a medium to large organisation. Preference to healthcare, aged care or a highly regulated industry such as education etc.
• A candidate who worked in a chartered accounting firm and has at least 2 years in commercial accounting.
• A candidate from a reputable accounting firm – Big4 or mid/second tier. Business advisory or Audit with relatable clients.
