This is a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager to step into a broad role within a growing listed environment.

The Role

Your role as Finance Manager will be appealingly broad, with support and guidance from an experienced Financial Controller. Key responsibilities include (not limited to):

  • Supervise, mentor and develop an offshore team of 2, ensuring quality and consistency of output
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of core processes, including month-end close, with appropriate financial controls in place
  • Prepare GST, PAYG and FBT returns and arrange employee superannuation payments
  • Maintain fixed asset registers (including lease accounting) and support technical accounting treatments where required
  • Lead the preparation of consolidated monthly management reporting, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow analysis, with clear variance commentary
  • Support half-year and annual statutory reporting (ASX), including audit files and technical accounting workpapers (training provided if required)
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and board reporting, working closely with the Financial Controller and senior stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, including automation and enhanced reporting (e.g. Power BI / Power Query)
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations, ensuring the smooth running of transactional activities carried out by your team  
  • Partner with the wider business to build strong relationships and support commercial outcomes

Your Background

To be considered for this Finance Manager opportunity, you will meet the majority of the following criteria:

  • CA / CPA / ACCA / ACA qualified (or equivalent), with strong technical accounting foundations
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, including the preparation of general-purpose financial statements
  • Exposure to a listed (ASX) environment is advantageous, either in audit or industry (not a prerequisite)
  • Experience with Power Query and/or Power BI, with an interest in improving reporting and leveraging data
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and engage effectively with stakeholders
  • A proactive and hands-on approach, with the initiative to identify and implement process improvements, including automation and efficiencies
  • Experience managing or working with offshore/remote teams is beneficial but not essential
  • Candidates currently operating as a Senior Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant, looking to step up, are encouraged to apply
