The Role

Your role as the Commercial Finance Manager will be broad and provide outstanding exposure across the business. You will work as part of a high-calibre FP&A team whilst reporting into a talented and energising Head of FP&A.

Your duties will broadly be broken down as follows (but not limited to):

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to challenge existing practices and influence decision-making to enhance profitability and operational performance.
  • Lead end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate and aligned financial plans.
  • Develop robust financial models, scenario analysis, and business cases to support growth initiatives, new product launches, and revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Evaluate product performance and margins, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to drive revenue optimisation.
  • Track and report on weekly and monthly performance against forecasts, providing clear variance analysis and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Enhance and streamline reporting frameworks to improve efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness, including identifying opportunities for automation and advanced analytics.
  • Prepare high-quality financial presentations and insights for senior leadership, including CFO and Executive team reporting packs.
  • Lead and develop direct report/s, ensuring effective workload allocation and creating opportunities for growth and career development.

Your Background

To be considered for this Commercial Finance Manager role, you will ideally meet the following criteria:

  • Professionally qualified (e.g. CA, ACA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in the areas of FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, analysis and business partnering.
  • Prior staff supervision experience, whether that be as a Team Leader, day-to-day Supervisor or direct Manager, would be advantageous.
  • Well organised with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
  • Experience, enthusiasm and curiosity to improve processes and/or systems (with proven prior examples).
  • Have excellent communication skills and proven stakeholder management capabilities.
