Hands-On Finance Support Role

With ongoing growth and increasing complexity across the finance function, a newly created Assistant Accountant position has been introduced to add capacity and support succession planning within the team.

Position Description

You will be working alongside a great and experienced finance team. Responsibilities will include:

• Entering of invoices daily
• Fixed asset management and reconciliations
• Balance sheet, credit card and receipting reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly tax submissions (BAS, Payroll Tax)
• Assisting with inventory analysis, consolidation and valuation
• Providing backup support across AP and AR when required
• Assisting with process improvement and systems initiatives

About You

To be considered for this position, you will meet most of the following requirements:

• Accounting degree qualification
• 1–2 years’ experience in accounting (business services background preferred)
• Strong communication skills and confidence in presenting yourself professionally
• Eagerness to learn, with a methodical and considered approach to tasks
• Ability to work 5 days per week onsite
