The Company

Our client is a fast-growing organisation in the renewable energy space. They are developing renewable energy projects across Australia with their sustainability partners to create cleaner energy solutions. This includes a large leading sustainability investment holding focused on facilitating the clean energy transition globally.

The Role 

As the Assistant Accountant, your role will be broad and see you involved and exposed to an appealing range of duties. You will report to a Senior Finance Manager and perform the following: 

• Manage the accounts payable process 
• Bank reconciliations
• Payment run preparation
• Assisting with month-end processes
• Cash reconciliations
• Intercompany reconciliations 
• Fixed Assets and depreciation maintenance
• Preparation for tax lodgments (GST, WHT, FBT, Income Tax)

Your Background

To be considered for this position, you will ideally meet the majority of the following criteria:

• Degree qualified with plans to start or be studying a professional qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) 
• At least 2 years of accounting experience working as an Accounts Officer or Assistant Accountant
• Our client will also consider a FTM from a chartered accounting firm environment
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively liaise and partner with multiple stakeholders 
• Confident, interactive and sociable personality to business partner with non-finance stakeholders
