Finance Support Year End Contract

Company Background

Our client is an Australian not-for-profit with a global reach. They work with vulnerable communities and deliver a broad range of programs to help better lives.

They are seeking an energetic and passionate Assistant Accountant to support the finance team on a temporary basis through their year-end and audit periods. Once you are trained in the role, you’ll have the flexibility to work from home 50% of the week.

The Role

As the Assistant Accountant, you will focus on:

• Month-end journal posting
• Bank reconciliations & balance sheet reconciliations
• Fixed asset maintenance
• Supporting the Senior Accountant with year-end preparation
• Assisting with audit requests
• Ad hoc transactional overflow work (AP, AR)

Your Background

To become a valuable addition to the finance team, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Available from the 1st June 2026
• Experience with journal posting
• Strong reconciliation experience
• Strong Excel experience – you will need more than just vlookups & pivot tables
• Experience within the NFP / NGO space is highly regarded but not essential
