Company Background

Our client is a diversified property management, development and investment business that has been in successful operation for over 30 years. They are going through a commercial transformation and have some impressive managers in the team to guide them through the next chapter of operation. 

The AP role works with the property managers, the Directors of the company and other senior stakeholders, offering a wide range of responsibilities.  A professional & mature-minded approach is key.

They provide one day WFH and the opportunity to progress and take on more responsibility.

The Role

This is a newly created AP role that will report to the Finance Manager and assist with the following tasks:

  • Update and maintain the approved vendor database promptly, including verification of payment details, verification of creditor details, e.g. GST registration.
  • Process invoices, including matching invoices with approved purchase orders.
  • Assist in managing and coordinating the online invoice approval process, if and when required.
  • Schedule fortnightly and on-cycle internal and external creditor pay runs based on standard company payment terms.
  • First point of contact with the supplier, chasing payment of invoices.
  • Perform reconciliations, including supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Support the month-end process by providing supporting documentation for month-end journals.
  • Preparing aged payables and other ad-hoc reporting where applicable, and providing commentaries.
  • Process credit card purchases and employee expenses claims, if and when required.

Your Background

To be considered for this great career opportunity, our client is looking for candidates who are:

  • Experienced Accounts Payable Officers or Bookkeepers who are well presented, articulate and professional. You ideally will have well over 5 years of working experience in this kind of function.
  • Have the confidence to answer queries from senior-level management on company expenses.
  • Preference to those candidates who can start immediately, but this is not essential.
