Accounts Payable Officer – 6-month contract

The Company

Our client is a highly regarded and long-established private group with operations across Australia and overseas. This role is initially offered as a 6-month fixed term contract, with a strong likelihood of going permanent for the right candidate. They offer 1 day WFH once training has been finalised.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will take ownership of a key Accounts Payable position in the finance team. Duties will include:

• Processing invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments in a timely and accurate manner
• Managing weekly payment runs, including FX and local payments
• Oversight of the AP inbox and supplier queries
• Reconciling supplier statements and maintaining creditor aged reporting
• Supporting petty cash and credit card reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end close and audit requirements

Your Background

As the successful candidate, you will meet the majority of the following criteria;

• 3+ years’ of full-function accounts payable experience
• A proactive, professional, and collaborative approach
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to start immediately
