As the business enters a new phase of growth, the opportunity to add a new role to the finance team has created the Accountant position.

The Role

Initially, the role will start with transactional support & month-end tasks, but with the opportunity to take on more from the Finance Manager once you master these. It’s a great opportunity for someone if you are an experienced Assistant Accountant but looking for that next step in a growing business.

Initial tasks will be:

• Month-end accruals reconciliations and other preparation duties to support the FM
• Complex AP including all overseas expense processing, including FX calculations, PO management, overheads and supplier runs
• AR, including invoicing, allocations and assisting with cashflow forecasting
• Once you have shown your ability to manage these, the CEO & FM would love you to help with:
• R&D applications
• Grant reporting & analysis
• Automations and systems enhancements
• Being a key touch point for the external auditors

Your Background

Our client is looking to hire someone who is:

• Enthusiastic, upbeat with great energy and a ‘can-do’ attitude! This is key to success in your application. 
• Degree (Accounting/Finance) qualified as a minimum
• Excellent communication skills are non-negotiable
• Worked in an SME with experience from AP/AR through to month-end reporting
• XERO experience in non-negotiable
• You have achievements on your resume to show you are willing to go the extra mile & can think outside the square.
• You must be living in Australia with a valid visa to work here permanently.
