Richard Lloyd was established in 2008 as a specialist recruitment firm focusing 100% on the Sydney market. We have a talented, upbeat and dedicated team of 16 people operating out of our bright, modern Pitt Street office in the CBD. Why not take a look here at what our team say about working for Richard Lloyd!
Our mission is simple; to become the first name on the lips of Sydney’s Accountants when they think of using a recruiter.
People are at the heart of everything we do, and we always look to add value to employers and job seekers at every opportunity possible.
We live and breathe our core values every day, work hard to build long-term relationships, are always open and clear in our communication, are there when people need us, and always deliver on our promises. By placing importance on our values and our team, we make every effort to nurture and continuously enhance our culture to ensure everyone enjoys coming to work each day.
Our unique team culture comes from a combined 150 years of recruitment experience. What this means for you is that there is always someone on hand to ask questions of, gain different perspectives from and most importantly, learn from. Our team is genuinely collaborative and loves to help each other succeed. For the first 3-6 months, you will spend time in the office being guided by experienced Managers and Recruiters, then once you have a firm grasp of your role, you will have the option to work from home 2 days per week.
We’re not a typical hard-nosed KPI-driven business. Instead, we enjoy success by working to a model that depends on self-accountability and shared success.
Celebration is key! For us, this includes birthdays, anniversaries, placements, team goals, individual achievements, etc. Above all, we love it when our clients and job seekers are happy! Celebrations have included trips to the Hunter Valley, climbing the Harbour Bridge, twilight sailing on Sydney Harbour, and the list goes on.
Other benefits on offer at Richard Lloyd include an instantly achievable uncapped bonus scheme, an extra day off each year for your birthday, a laptop with full remote access, up to 25 days of annual leave, and health & wellbeing programs.
We’ve got to be doing something very right! We represent some of Sydney’s best accounting talent whilst enjoying a high volume of repeat business with enviable brands. We invest heavily in providing value-add -resources to our clients who love our reports such as our Salary & Market Insights Survey due to its laser-like focus on the Sydney accounting market. During non-Covid times, we have held at least 2 business seminars a year and exhibit/present at high-profile industry events regularly.
Giving back to the world is also a huge priority for us. We are big on recycling and have been found cleaning up Sydney’s beaches, cooking for the homeless, organising regular Christmas toy drives and building bikes for underprivileged children.
That’s probably enough about us for now. On to what the job entails… !
This is a role that will initially start off as a candidate resourcer before quickly becoming a full-function, 360 degree Recruiter where you’ll be meeting with Accounting professionals across various functions whilst working to fill active vacancies. Assist candidates with interview preparation, CV writing and more providing more general advice to add value to their experience
Write job adverts and present roles to candidates and then work through the response and understand the different selection criteria
Match candidates' skills and personalities to jobs we currently recruiting for
Use various online tools to search for appropriate candidates and to use social media to build your networks
Efficiently multitask when working on multiple jobs at the one time, compile and present shortlists to a client, and ultimately how to fill jobs
Deal with offer negotiations after a job offer has been made
After successfully learning how to work with candidates, we will then train you on the client side of recruitment and assist you to build and maintain your own portfolio of contacts. This training includes how to:
Make appointments with contacts to introduce our services and ultimately build a long-term professional relationship.
Provide a consultative service to hiring managers to understand their needs and match appropriate talent
Offer market insights, salary guidance, or any consultative services that will add value
Once your induction training has been completed, you will speak to a lot of people every day – hiring managers looking for new staff members or candidates looking for a job. We spend a lot of time talking and interacting with people!
Your training doesn't stop just because you have graduated to a Recruitment Consultant - learning is ongoing at Richard Lloyd and it doesn't matter if you are a newbie or someone who has worked in the industry for many years - there is always something new to learn or skills to brush up on.
We are primarily looking to speak with candidates who are looking to enter the world of recruitment who have a passion for building relationships and who thrive on working in a close-knit team.
