Our client fills a unique niche within the local entertainment industry, and continues to win contracts around the world, including a number of lucrative local government festival contracts. With continued growth expected, the CEO has identified the urgent need for further resources in the Finance team
Reporting to the CEO, this role will play a vital role in bridging the gap between finance and the operational team. Its not going to be your average BAU role, as numerous projects will keep this role very interesting for some time. Initially the role will:
Put in place accounting processes to lay the foundation for reporting to the newly created Board
Develop templates especially around the budgets, forecasts and the project accounting
Develop a robust process for reporting on the large and small projects
Once this is all established and working like a well-oiled machine, the role will settle into a bit more of a BAU position involving
Monthly reporting for the 3 business entities
Assisting with the budgets forecasts, and associated variance analysis
Mentoring (and maybe supervision) of the Junior Accountant who manages the AP / AR
Tracking and reporting on the various projects underway
To be considered for the role, you will be the sort of person that loves to set up processes and systems to drive efficiencies and better reporting. On top of that loves working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
Oh, and a couple more things that would help:
Experience in a broad Financial / Management style role
Happy to work part-time (2-3 days a week)
Experience (ideally) from an SME environment where you are used to being hands on
