The Role

As the Tax Accountant, you will sit in a corporate office environment and report to a Group Reporting Manager. Your duties will include:

• Prepare, lodge and file corporate income tax, BAS, FBT and payroll tax returns.

• Conduct regular reviews of tax compliance for APAC and ensure adherence to tax laws.

• Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.

• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend strategies to improve the company’s tax position.

• Maintain and update tax records and documentation.

• Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards.

Your Background

To be considered for this Tax Accountant role, you will meet the majority of the following:

• Be professionally qualified (e.g. CA, CPA or a Masters in Tax).

• Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a similar Tax Accountant role within a commercial or Public Practice Accounting firm.

• Our client will consider First-time movers with a background in tax and/or business services.

• Detail orientated with a passion for tax accounting.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
