Senior Financial Accountant – Year-End Contract (Hybrid, CBD)

Company Background

Our client is a prominent multinational insurance group with a growing presence in the APAC market. They are seeking to strengthen their finance team temporarily for the year-end, to work on a range of duties from audit to period-close.

The Role

As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will focus on:

• Working closely as a liaison between external auditors and finance
• Handling audit queries, producing files for submission
• Assist with P&L review for consolidated entity
• Reconciliations between local and head office P&Ls
• Month-end processing and closing
• Assisting with financial statement preparation for year-end

Your Background

To become a valuable member of the team during this period, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Immediate availability
• Professional qualification
• Prior experience working with Audit
• Experience working within the industry (3+ months)
• Strong technical knowledge, experience in producing and reviewing financial statements
• Experience with Xero is highly regarded
• Prior experience within the insurance industry is highly regarded but not essential
• Strong communicator, able to coordinate between internal and external teams
• Critical mindset, can analyse data and dive into problem-solving
