The Role

This Senior Financial Accountant position will sit within a high-performing finance team and support the Australian entity across a broad range of financial accounting, reporting and commercial analysis responsibilities.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Ownership of month-end reporting activities, including journals, reconciliations and reporting packs
• Maintaining the General Ledger, intercompany reconciliations and supporting payroll/sales journals
• Preparation of board reporting, KPI analysis and financial statements for consolidation
• Strong focus on fixed asset accounting, CapEx reporting and AASB16 lease accounting
• Detailed COGS and food cost variance analysis across operations
• Supporting tax compliance, including BAS, payroll tax, FBT and income tax reporting
• Business partnering with operations, marketing and development teams across budgeting and forecasting
• Supporting year-end audit processes, financial controls and continuous improvement initiatives

Your Background

In order to be considered for this Senior Financial Accountant opportunity, you will match most of the following criteria:

• Immediately available
• CA / CPA qualified or equivalent
• Exposure to lease accounting / AASB16 is highly regarded
• Experience within retail, franchise, hospitality or other multi-site environments is advantageous
• Strong analytical skills with exposure to COGS or operational reporting
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
