The Role

This role reports to the Divisional Manager and is responsible for: 

• Perform monthly corporate overhead analysis – investigation and commentary on actual versus budgeted expenditure and liaison with Functional Heads
• Working with business unit managers to coordinate monthly forecasting, quarterly review and annual budgeting process
• Analysis and reporting of staff utilisation on various projects and tenders
• Assist in the preparation of a financial input book for UK reporting and associated work papers
• Review various accounting treatments and preparation of year-end disclosures
• Review and reconcile various balance sheet accounts such as prepayments, accrued income, accrued expenses, provisions and clearing accounts
• Prepare and review journal entries including accruals, prepayments, consolidation elimination, one-off large transactions
• Prepare and review annual solvency reviews for various companies 
• Perform monthly profit and loss and balance sheet variance analysis

Your Background

To be considered for this role, you will be fully CA or CPA qualified. 

You will already be a strong technical accountant with management and financial reporting evident on your resume.

Group consolidations or group reporting will be highly regarded.

Ideally, our client is looking to hire candidates who have a foundation in their career, working for a reputable accounting firm in Business Services. This is their first preference.
