The Role

This Senior Financial Accountant opportunity is highly attractive due to its unique breadth. Reporting into the FC with multiple other touch points around the company, your role will include (not limited to):

• Direct supervision of 1 Accountant
• Financial reporting across the business
• For a specific division, you will manage the end-to-end accounting whilst working as their key Business Partner
• Assist with the group consolidation process          
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly reporting deliverables to investors
• Manage lease accounting in accordance with IFRS 16 (training can be provided)
• Monitor compliance with accounting policies, accounting standards and internal controls
• Acting as a key contact for external auditors and playing a key role in the year-end audit process
• Continuous involvement in value-add project work

As you master your responsibilities, this role will evolve to take on additional duties whilst also seeing you involved in process improvement initiatives.

Your Background

To be considered for this Senior Financial Accountant role, you will meet the following criteria:

• Likely to be CA / ACA qualified (or equivalent) with a technical accounting grounding gained in Chartered (audit or business services)
• Experience working as a Financial Accountant, Senior Accountant (or equivalent) in a commercial environment will be advantageous
• A confident communicator, able to liaise with stakeholders
• Looking for a broad role involving financial reporting, a technical challenge and project work
• Career-driven individual with a great attitude and willingness to learn
• Prior knowledge of IFRS 16 is advantageous (not a prerequisite)
