Company Background

Our client is a world-renowned retail brand with a strong presence within the APAC region. They harbour a fantastic working culture, with many of their finance team working there long term.

They are currently looking to strengthen their core finance team in Sydney, seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to own the finances for brands, partner with non-finance and work closely with the CFO on reporting deadlines.

The Role

As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will focus on:

• Monthly account preparation and financial reporting
• Reporting and results for brands to the group
• Maintaining AASB/IFRS lease schedules
• Managing the CAPEX register
• Cashflow statement reporting and variances
• Ownership of month-end reporting packs
• Internal management reporting
• Managing insurance and banking with the CFO
• Assisting with the internal control audit
• Assisting with the external audit
• Statutory financial statement preparation

Your Background

To be considered for this Senior Financial Accountant role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Immediately available, or short notice period
• Professional qualification (CA, CPA, etc.)
• Strong IFRS/AASB 16 knowledge
• Experience with leasing platforms
• Strong reporting skills and experience working with short deadlines
• Cashflow reporting experience
• Retail / FMCG / Multi-brand experience is highly regarded
