This is a new role for a Senior Financial Accountant to help the Financial Controller bring the reporting together and supervise the Assistant Accountants' work. Being a medium-sized organisation, that means a broad role and a real opportunity for you to get exposure to tasks across management & financial accounting.  They are still on a growth trajectory, so if you are prepared to try new things, add value and work across a broad range of tasks, there is real room to progress & grow with the company.

The Role

Supporting the Head of Finance, you would find this fantastic role to hone your accounting skills in a commercial environment.  

You would be involved & have responsibility for:

• Financial statement preparation including P&L, Balance sheet & cash flow.
• Preparation and review of month-end processing, including reconciliations and journal entries. 
• Company tax reporting, GST, FBT and other ATO requirements.
• Gathering key data and trends to generate reports, supporting FC in the consolidation of monthly, half-year, and year-end accounts and report packs.
• Providing performance insights, analysis, and recommendations to internal stakeholders to support decision-making and drive business performance.
• Working on transformation projects and helping the business align the finance controls & processes as they grow.
• Ownership of finance operations, including answering inquiries from internal stakeholders and troubleshooting, with overseas AR, AP outsourcing support.

Your Background

Our client is looking for someone who:

• Is outgoing, confident and loves working in a fast-paced, social environment.
• Is CA or CPA qualified.
• Has exceptional communication skills and will be able to work with sales agents, financial services institutions and senior executives with ease.
• Either a senior-level Accountant with clear experience with financial statement preparation on your resume OR a Big4/Mid-tier first-time mover, keen to hone your skills in a dynamic environment.
