Company Background

Our client is a high-profile public sector organisation at the heart of government. They are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join their team and lead the corporate finance function due to internal movement. This is initially a 12-month temporary role and offers flexible working arrangements, including the opportunity to work from home several days per week.

The Role

As the Senior Finance Manager, you will focus on:

• Leading closing periods and year-end
• Oversight of financial reporting and financial statement preparation
• Partnering with External Auditors
• Taxation and compliance reporting
• Asset management
• Budget proposals and budget allocations
• Managing a team of 5

Your Background

To be considered as a strong candidate for this position, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Immediate availability
• Professionally qualified (CA, CPA, CIMA, etc.)
• Prior experience within the public sector, within state or federal contexts
• Prior team management experience
• Strong financial control and audit experience
