Our client is a reputable name in the property management sector. They have multiple revenue streams, including joint venture projects. They are currently working on a number of exciting new business propositions. This role would support the Financial Controller as the 2ic and ideally be able to come up with new ideas and innovative processes & workflow.

Their office is located in the North Shore, close to public transport and also offers 2 days of working from home.

The Role

Supporting the Financial Controller and supervising the junior accounts staff work, you would be responsible for:

  • Oversee end-to-end financial management, reporting, and compliance across Australian operations and international entities.
  • Lead Group statutory reporting obligations, including the preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns.
  • Manage intercompany accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Group policies.
  • Review and approve general ledger journals and monthly balance sheet reconciliations to maintain robust financial controls.
  • Provide oversight and quality assurance of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll activities performed by junior finance staff.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives by applying strong financial insight and technical expertise to support optimal outcomes for the Group.
  • Opportunity to expand the role to include management accounting, financial analysis, and forecasting responsibilities.

Your Background

We are looking for experienced Financial Accountants or Senior Accountants, ideally from a group reporting environment.

You are fully CA or CPA qualified and confidently able to supervise the work of the junior members in the team.

On your resume, we will see statutory reporting, multi-entity reporting, and strong financial accounting.

You have excellent communication skills and are confident, ambitious and eager to work hard to achieve results!
