Company Background

Our client is a high-profile public sector organisation at the heart of government. They are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team on a long-term temporary engagement initially, to help lead them through audit and manage a small team.

The Role

As the Senior Accountant, you will focus on:

• Ensuring a smooth audit process and acting as the key contact for the external auditors
• Oversee the asset reporting and valuation process
• Preparing and delivering financial statements
• Preparing statutory reports in line with standards
• Preparing tax returns (FBT, Payroll tax, GST)
• Preparing annual reports
• Managing a team of 3

Your Background

To be considered for this Senior Accountant role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Immediate availability
• Prior experience working within or auditing a government agency
• Professional qualification (CA / CPA)
• Large ERP system experience (SAP / Oracle)
• Experience with asset valuation
• Previous supervisory/management experience is preferred
