Our client is a well-established professional services business with a strong international presence. The organisation is currently focused on strengthening its internal finance operations following a major system implementation.

Headquartered in Sydney’s CBD, the corporate office is responsible for internal financial reporting and analysis. The business promotes a collaborative, down-to-earth culture with a strong work/life balance and modern office amenities, including breakout areas and regular team events.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the finance team through a systems transition. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in a technical environment and enjoys solving accounting challenges.

Key duties include:

• Performing general ledger reconciliations as part of a broader data clean-up project
• Using Excel and reporting tools to extract and analyse transactional data
• Supporting the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting post-system migration
• Assisting with financial analysis and internal reporting requirements

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced accountant with strong reconciliation skills, a systems mindset, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with others.

Your Background

• CA or CPA qualification
• Immediate availability to start
• A background in audit or financial control is highly desirable
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
• Previous exposure to system transitions (e.g. Workday) is an advantage
• Candidates on working holiday or temporary visas will be considered
